Alexander Strakh is the founder’s son, and a regular at Tech Flow meetups in South Florida — not as a guest, but as one of the people who help run the night. Name tag on, same as everyone else.

My son Alex helps me run the meetups. He has his own name tag and his own jobs on the night.

What helping at a meetup looks like.

A Tech Flow meetup is an in-person evening for Russian-speaking entrepreneurs and professionals: the whole room introduces itself, one operator gives a talk, a local nonprofit takes the mic, and the conversation runs for hours afterwards. Fifty to a hundred guests, one venue, one night.

The people who help run it are there before doors open and stay until the room empties — setting up, handing out name tags, greeting guests, and doing whatever the evening needs once it is under way. They wear the same name tag as the guests. Alex’s says Alexander.
